I have highlighted the rise of the machines here before. To add to this now we find that the machines are starting to enjoy themselves and participating in human endeavors of play. They seem to really keep their “eyes” on the ball.

Changing the Face of History — Forensic Anthropologists Reconstruct First President’s Real Looks

ScienceDaily () — Using 3D laser scans of sculptures and processing images with math-based computer software, forensic anthropologists are making life-size models of George Washington at ages 19, 45, and 57. An exhibit featuring the reconstructed images and models will open at George Washington’s Mount Vernon estate in October 2006.

A Cat and an Owl – Best of Friends

Fum & Gebra, two stars in the open country, a special couple. Fum is a lovely black cat and Gebra a kind barn owl. This bird of prey fly far away but lands every time near Fum, its faithful friend. You got to see it to believe it.
